Sinus Lift

Specialised bone grafting procedure to enable upper jaw implant placement.

Overview

A sinus lift (sinus augmentation) is a specialised bone grafting procedure performed when there is insufficient bone height in the upper jaw for dental implant placement. The procedure involves gently elevating the sinus membrane and placing bone graft material in the space created, increasing bone height and density.

This procedure is necessary when the natural bone between the upper jaw and the maxillary sinus is too thin for implants. Dr Thao Truong performs both lateral window and internal sinus lift techniques, selecting the approach best suited to your specific anatomy and treatment needs.

  • Missing upper back teeth (molars or premolars)

  • Bone loss following tooth extraction in the upper jaw
